The XLCT series is a low-profile hydraulic torque wrench designed for controlled tightening and loosening of hexagonal nuts and bolts, particularly where overhead clearance or access around the fastener is limited. Its hexagonal cassette engages directly with the nut, providing a compact solution for flange connections and other confined bolting applications.

Powered by an external hydraulic pump, the tool converts hydraulic pressure into rotational torque through an internal piston and ratchet mechanism. Successive hydraulic cycles rotate the fastener in controlled increments. The required tightening torque is set by adjusting the pump pressure according to the pressure–torque chart for the selected tool model.

The XLCT series combines an aluminium–titanium alloy body with high-strength alloy steel components. Nickel-plated components provide corrosion resistance for demanding industrial environments. The low-profile configuration helps the tool fit into restricted spaces while maintaining direct engagement with the fastener.

During operation, the tool must be positioned against a suitable, stable reaction point. Correct cassette selection, full engagement with the nut, and secure reaction support are essential for controlled torque application.

The series is suitable for industrial bolting work in oil and gas, petrochemical processing, power generation, mining, heavy machinery, and plant maintenance.

System Requirements

The XLCT wrench requires a compatible hydraulic torque wrench pump, pressure-rated hydraulic hoses, matching couplers, and a hexagonal cassette sized for the fastener. All hydraulic components must be suitable for the operating pressure.

For tightening, use the pressure–torque chart supplied for the selected model. Ensure that the cassette fully engages the nut and that the reaction surface can safely withstand the applied load. Keep hands clear of the reaction area and moving components throughout operation.
